Violetta Hargitay has been a Los Angeles resident for over 40 years and a successful and respected Realtor in Pacific Palisades for over 29 years! "I was born in Hungary to parents who were refugees of the 1956 Revolution. During the uprising, they fled their country with me, their 6 month old baby, in tow! Perhaps it was this adventurous beginning that led to my passion for photography and travel."
"My first "serious" camera was an Argus 35mm which I was given in my teens. I shot 100's of slides during my first summer visit to Hungary and I have enjoyed photography ever since!" A passion for both travel and photography has led Violetta to destinations around the world that include Europe, Australia, Mexico, South Africa, Botswana, Indonesia, Singapore, Great Britain, Ireland, the Caribbean, and many of our National Parks.
Violetta's childhood and teen years were spent in Arizona. "For me, growing up in the southwest created a deep connection with the old west and its history. Travel in the western areas of the United States, always stirs special feelings for me. I love travel and macro photography, but also find photographing children and animals especially enjoyable. I feel great emotional reward from their inner beauty and innocence. These subjects are equally captivating in their own way and neither is as critical of the outcome as most adults are!
